- The Darjeeling-Maneybhanjyang-Tonglu-Sandakphu trek (4 days) is one of the best treks for those having a limited time. One can get excellent views of the Kanchenjunga and the Mount Everest peaks.
- Another popular trek is from Mirik-Sandakphu-Phalut. For one day treks Mirik- Kurseong-Balasan River-Namsu is the best.
- It takes just a short trip of 2-3 days to see Darjeeling and that includes visiting tea gardens, riding the famed Toy Train for one hour and walks around the Mall. One can also visit various places of tourist interest as well as buy local artifacts within that time.
